QUIETING THE NOISE
Scripture:
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
Message
Noise doesn’t always come from the outside. Some times the loudest noise is inside us — the racing thoughts, the worries, the pressure to fix everything, the constant planning, the fear of what might happen next.
God invites us into something different.
Not busyness.
Not panic.
Not striving.
But stillness.
Stillness isn’t doing nothing.Stillness is choosing to pause long enough to remember who God is.
When the noise rises, the Spirit doesn’t shout over it.He waits for you to breathe…to slow down…to turn your attention back to Him.
Following God’s Spirit requires space — even a small one — where your heart can settle and your mind can breathe.
Stillness is where clarity comes.Stillness is where peace returns.Stillness is where the Spirit speaks.
Life Application
Where can you create stillness today?
Turn off the radio for five minutes
Sit in the car before going inside
Pause before responding to someone
Take one slow breath before making a decision
Stillness is a choice — and it opens the door for God’s voice.
Prayer
Lord, help me quiet the noise around me and within me.Teach me to be still.Let Your peace settle over my mind and heart.Help me hear You clearly today.Amen.
